Why Didn’t I
Pure Alaska Omega Extra Virgin Salmon Oil began with a crazy idea
Sandro Lane spent his youth in Italy, where he learned the centuries-old technique for making olive oil. Tucking this knowledge away, he went on to explore his passion for the ocean, studying marine biology and fish genetics, and eventually started his own seafood company.
One day a zany thought struck. What do olives and fish have in common? Looking for novel ways to maximize the benefits of his wild salmon catch, Sandro adapted the process for pressing olive oil to gently extract omega nutrients found in fatty fish.
The result: extra virgin salmon oil.
Sandro combined forces with Trident Seafoods to introduce Pure Alaska Omega Salmon Oil to the market. Today, Pure Alaska Omega is one of the few salmon oils in the world that uses this proprietary “cold-press” process to produce extra-virgin wild-caught Alaska salmon oil.
Seafood is in our DNA
Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically-integrated seafood company in North America. A family-owned, Seattle-based business, we’ve been fishing the Northern Pacific Ocean for more than 40 years. It’s who we are, and what we do.
We have a reputation for selling the best seafood products available, because we control every part of the process, every step of the way—from the second it leaves the cold Alaskan waters to the moment you consume it.
Now more than ever, we believe that Wild Alaska Salmon is our future because it’s one of the heart healthy foods we can eat. That’s why we’re proud to offer the full omega nutrition of Wild Alaska Salmon in a daily supplement. Packed with naturally occurring omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and other omega fats, Pure Alaska Omega Salmon Oil is the next best thing to eating Wild Alaska Salmon.
An All-American Fish Tale
Pure Alaska Omega is a product of Trident Seafoods, the same American seafood company that brings Wild Alaska Salmon to your table. As with all our products, we take full ownership of our Pure Alaska Omega Salmon Oil production – from sea to supplement – to ensure the integrity, safety/purity, and performance for you and your family.
Our fishermen catch salmon in the wild waters of Alaska and we waste no part of the fish. The pieces of salmon that aren’t destined for the dinner plate are sent to our food-grade facilities for immediate oil extraction. Many other fish oils are sourced from farmed fish or foreign reduction fisheries. We craft our Pure Alaska Omega salmon oil using only food-grade materials in our own Trident Seafoods facilities, right here in the U.S.
Sustainability is more than a badge or certification. It is an investment.
A commitment to the future
Like generations of Alaskans who relied on the gifts of the sea, we consider it an obligation and a privilege to protect the health of our Northern Pacific Ocean – and the resources swimming freely in it. That’s why we support the conservative management of these pristine fishing grounds.
Alaska salmon is managed and regulated by the State of Alaska, which puts conservation first, and only provides fishing opportunity once conservation objectives are met. This sustainable approach assures that all commercial fishing companies, including Trident Seafoods, work together to preserve the long-term vitality and abundance of our precious shared resource.
Our bond with the ocean runs deep. Fishing is what we have always done, and if we continue to do it right, it is what we will always do. We embrace our responsibility to maintain safe and sustainable fisheries and seafood products for years to come.
