Is it possible to take too many Pure Alaska Omega softgels?
As far as we know there is no established upper limit for taking EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) omega-3 products. Taking too much may result in upset stomach. The daily serving size for the Pure Alaska Omega Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is two softgels per day. The daily serving size for the Pure Alaska Omega Clinical Strength Alaskan Omega-3 is one mini-softgel per day.
If you are looking at increasing your serving size per day, we would recommend consulting with your healthcare provider/practitioner. They can provide you with recommendations on serving size that maybe right for you, answer questions regarding specific health concerns, and questions pertaining to potential interactions with current medications. The American Heart Association recommends being “under physician’s care” if “taking more than 3 grams of omega-3 fatty acids from capsules.” – https://healthyforgood.heart.org/Eat-smart/Articles/Fish-and-Omega-3-Fatty-Acids
